A packed out crowd at Rics showed up to support these two wonderful Brisbane musicians. Tonight was Dane Pollock’s first solo performance, and WHAT a performance might I add. Next up was Emma Dean with some wonderful new songs along with all the favourites of course. Finishing off the night was the Brisbane All Star Choir, who did a supurb job helping out with Chew Love.

A little overdue I know. Back in April Scott, Tara and Emma put on a wonderful gig. I met new friends and had a great night, except for my camera’s battery dying half way thourgh Emma’s performance. And the fact that the people at the Globe kicked everyone out as soon as the gig finished. The lighting was tricky, so once again I’ve converted these images to B&W to remove colour casts.

Andavanth

Andavanth is a new-ish cafe on Douglas St, Milton. This pic was taken for an advertising feature in the next edition of Style.

Today at work I was asked to go take a candid shot of who is part of an opera in schools program from Queensland Opera. She’s been cast to play the role of Hansel in Hansel and Gretel. I thought it would make a nice black and white.

On the weekend, Dan (Cooper), Brian and I moved into our new place. It’s a cute little 3 bedroom house which has a few spare ‘utility’ rooms under. A fireplace that doesn’t work (mostly because they don’t want people burning the place down). Good size bedrooms. A pucky cupboard. It’s about 3 mins to work for me (according to google.com/maps). Still sorting through stuff and setteling in, hopefully that won’t be too much of a mission. It’s good to be home!
